Finally an update (yay!)
Sliz » Devlog
Unfortunately, one of my friends recently found this game, which made me realise how ugly it is, so I updated it :P .
- Updated graphics (finally your eyes won't hurt when playing this)
- Now there's music playing in the background (can be disabled if you don't like it)
- Pause menu that can be accessed by pressing either "P" or "Esc" (fun fact - a very simple pause menu was supposed to be in the original version of the game but I was running out of time so I didn't implement it)
- Volume sliders (so the sound effects don't blow your ears up)
- Quit button (so you don't have to complete the game to be able to leave)
- A button to swap the sprite assets for the ones from the original version of the game (not recommended unless you want to hurt your eyes, plus it disables music to match the original experience as much as possible)
- Gamepad support (tested on a PS4 controller)
- The game can now be played using arrow keys (added mainly for old gamers and Undertale enjoyers)
- Fixed text rendering and changed the font for a slightly nicer one
- (There might be some minor changes in the animation behaviour of the player character as a result of me fixing my old code when playing with "Use assets from game jam version" enabled)
- (Maybe some other things were fixed/added/updated but I can't remember right now)
- (Btw. itf nyone plays this game on macOS or Windows, pls let me know in the comments if it works, I don't have access to a macOS computer and I currently have some problems running Wine on my laptop :') )
That should be everything I wanted to say here, thanks for reading this and bye!
